?? ?There are a few staples in every college town, a pizza shop, a diner, a bar, and of course a tattoo and body piercing shop. Walking down the street in Bloomsburg, you are sure to pass at least one of these shops. On Feb. 4 another shop has opened up downtown. Located at 16 East Main Street, Highbrow Tattoo, meaning cultured and classy, has joined the competition to be a popular place for college students to get tattooed and pierced.
There are four employees working at Highbrow including, a body piercer, two tattoo artists, and a body piercer/tattoo apprentice. Combined the employees have over 30 years of experience in the tattoo and piercing field. Like most tattoo shops, Highbrow has a shop minimum of $60. A shop minimum is the lowest price you will pay for a tattoo, despite the size.
Highbrow Tattoo is open Monday through Saturday from 1pm-9pm. You can also friend the shop on Facebook to learn about deals they might be offering https://www.facebook.com/HighbrowTattoo.??Right now, piercings are all $30, including dermals and $50 for sets; prices that are hard to beat. My roommate and I took advantage of this special last week, getting my nose done and her lip. All of our questions and concerns were answered; so far we haven?t had any complications and the piercings are doing great!
?Highbrow is a welcoming, experienced place to get tattooed or pierced,? said the owner, Ricky, when asked why his shop should be chosen over other shops in Bloomsburg. ?We are friendly to all our customers and will answer any questions you have.? Walk-ins are welcome, but you can also call to set up an appointment or a consultation at (570)784-3003.
